How much does it cost to watch the stream?
The show is absolutely free to watch. The team behind this initiative are all volunteers who want to help isolated families and raise funds for the NHS.
What happens during an episode?
Each episode is a mixture of entertainment and education, including lots of beatboxing performance from SK Shlomo. There are lots of engaging learning exercises, warmups, vocal techniques, interactive polls and learning challenges. You’ll be invited to create music and short videos of your own to share using the hashtag #BEATBOXADVENTURES and the best videos will get played out on the show.
Do I need beatboxing experience to take part?
No experience necessary.
Do I need any equipment in order to take part?
All you need to watch the show is a computer, mobile device or smart TV. To join the Zoom Room you will need a computer or mobile device.
What is the Zoom Room and how do I join?
Each week, Shlo is joined by up to 50 families around the world who participate in an online video call. This ‘Zoom Room’ is like the show’s virtual studio audience. You can sign up to be in the Zoom Room right here.
Is the Zoom Room secure?
We have strict security procedures to safeguard our participants and to avoid ‘Zoom-bombing’ or any uninvited guests in our Zoom-Room.
All applicants are screened before being sent the log-in info to check they are indeed a family and are all able to participate together.
Successful applicants are given a secret login code and password.
When they arrive on the Zoom call they are held in a “waiting room” until their identity is verified, ensuring that nobody can get access to the Zoom-Room without our consent.
Will my image be broadcast?
If you watch the stream only, we will not be able to see you and your image will not be broadcast.
By participating in the Zoom Room, you are consenting for yourself and any accompanying children to be broadcast and for recordings to be used in future promotional videos.
You must have parental responsibility for all accompanying children or have been granted parental responsibility by the children’s legal guardian and be able to give consent for them to be broadcast and recorded.
By participating, you will be granting permission that the footage recorded may be edited and published on social media platforms and any other form of media worldwide in perpetuity.

The primary focus of the show is to empower young people and families to feel more confident. The fundraising element is secondary, and during the show the charity campaign is mentioned approximately three times.

HOMESKOOL BEATBOX ADVENTURES is an adaptation of a touring theatre show called Shlomo’s Beatbox Adventures For Kids. The NHS Charities National Covid-19 Urgent Appeal was launched to support NHS staff, volunteers and patients impacted by Covid-19 across the country. The money raised will help support NHS staff, volunteers and patients, including wellbeing packs, rest and recuperation rooms, tablets for isolated patients to connect with loved ones, vital care partnerships and longer term mental health resources for staff and families.
